Preview: 12 Hours of Silverstone

The series is running in the midst of its inaugural season, featuring four endurance races throughout the year after it has been set up by iRacing last winter. Round 1 took place at Suzuka in April, where the No. 84 Porsche team unfortunately crashed and did not finish the race.

The second race of the season, the 12 Hours of Silverstone this weekend, will see team-mates Pascal Theis and Benjamin Fischer team up in the No. 84 Porsche to look for the first checkered flag in the series.

"I think this series offers a unique challenge, with the kind of combination of classes you got here. We're not usually the fastest class in GTE. The speed difference to the TCR and GT4 class is quite big. But it's exciting and a lot of fun.", Theis said.

Fischer Motorsport last competed at Silverstone in January of this year, as part of the IVRA Endurance Series race at the British track, though that was only a four hour race.

"Yeah, this will be a whole different ball game, running a twelve hour race. But we feel like we come here well prepared. It's certainly awesome to come here with the success we've had last weekend. Hopefully we can carry that over and get a good finish out of this.", team-mate and owner Benjamin Fischer said on Friday.

The 12 Hours of Silverstone are scheduled to start Saturday 15:30 CEST / 9:30 am EDT. Fischer Motorsport will offer an onboard stream from inside the No. 84 Porsche so everyone can catch all the racing action live.
