Preview: iRacing NEC Round 2
One change for the No. 84 BMW M4 GT3 will be Benjamin Fischer stepping back into the Cockpit after he missed the season opener two weeks ago due to an illness.
Florian Volk and Manuel Mayer were faced with a huge crash on lap two in the first race of the season, pretty much putting an early end to their race. This weekend – also thanks to the new experience gathered in the iRacing Nürburgring 24 Hours – things should go better.
“I think we’re better prepared this weekend, than we were two weeks ago. We understand the car a bit better now and can adjust. We’ve also made huge steps forward with the setup of the car. We’ll have to see how it goes, but I’ve got a good feeling.”, says Florian Volk.
Pascal Theis and Y. Hignet, who - despite two crashes in the final three laps – still wound up in eighth place in the season opener, hope to fare better this time as well.
“We’re going to attack. We weren’t really able to make use of our potential last time, also because we made too many mistakes. But we have analyzed our errors and changed some things. If we can stay clear of making mistakes this time, I think a lot is possible.”, says Pascal Theis.
The second Round of the NEC starts Sunday 15:45 CEST / 9:45 am EDT and will go the usual distance of four hours.
